Manuka
pronounced "MAH-nooka" is named after the manuka bush from which bees gather nectar and pollen. Manuka is a member of the Tea Tree group of plants and is also known as Leptospermum scoparium. The Manuka flowers produce nectar for only 2-6 weeks a year so the bees have a short time to turn it into precious Manuka honey.
